Inna is the goddess of the sky within the Sahptev religion.
Biography[]
(src)
Inna is said to be exceedingly beautiful,[2] and that only the holy will find refuge in her arms.[3] Those she deems insufficiently holy will have to turn to the lesser gods for guidance.[4] To embody her, her followers strive to be disciplined, skillful, gracious, and ruthless when necessary.[5]
It is said that Inna treads upon clouds in the winter and the summer, in the night and the day.[6] When she became displeased with a star, she would don gloves, and hurl the offending star through the night sky[7]. She claims partial dominion over rain.[8][9]
In-game[]
In Diablo Immortal, Inna is referenced in the Legendary Items The First Wind, Leering Riptide and Willbillow. The character depicted by the Monk class is canonically a disciple of Inna.
The item set Inna's Mantra in Diablo III is named after her. Bindings of the Lesser Gods reference her as well.
Known Disciples[]
- The Shard-seeker[10] (player determinant)
Trivia[]
- Inna may be a reference to Ishtar, also known as Inanna in the Mesopotamian mythology, where she was known as the Queen of Heaven.
