Ice Blast is a Sorceress Skill in Diablo II.
Description[]
The freezing damage of this spell can shatter an opponent into icy shards, leaving enemy spellcasters little material with which to resurrect their minions. In this way the Sorceress can make quick work of those who would use the dead against her.

An upgrade to Ice Bolt, and an intermediate spell to Glacial Spike, Ice Blast is a powerful Cold projectile that always Freezes an individual enemy completely solid. Not only does this render enemies unable to fight back, but frozen enemies shatter when killed, preventing them from being resurrected. This is useful when fighting enemies like Fallen or Skeletons.
Keep in mind that in comparison to Glacial Spike, no one is necessarily clean cut better or worse; although Glacial Spike is cast faster and has a radius of impact, Ice Blast does more individual damage and has a much longer Freeze duration. Since they synergize with each other, Sorceresses specializing in Cold Spells may find it prudent to put points into both.
Other players, bosses, super unique monsters, and champions will be chilled and not frozen when hit with Ice Blast.
