Hidden Lair entrance
Hidden Lairs are a gameplay feature of Diablo Immortal.[1]
Gameplay[]
Hidden Lairs are mini-dungeons, similar to s, that consist of two levels. Each level contains an Elite Monster (called a Lair Guardian) at the end. On the first level, killing the guardian opens a portal to the second level. Additionally two random events are hidden on each level that are triggered by walking into their respective trigger zones. These events may be simple ambushes or may require players to examine an object to spawn monsters to kill or vice versa. Completing these events gives an additional reward. Each reward for killing a guardian and completing a random event includes a random Normal Gem. On the first level these gems are bound, while on the second level they are unbound.
The monsters and terrain of the Lair correspond to the zone it is accessed from.
A player can obtain a maximum of 63 bound and 63 unbound Normal Gems per week from Hidden Lairs, corresponding to 21 runs or an average of 3 runs per day. Once this cap is reached, the corresponding Gem icon will be greyed out on the Hidden Lair entry screen. This cap is shared with Abyssal Verge and Erebban.
Entrances to Hidden Lairs spawn randomly.[2] Players are alerted to the presence of a Hidden Lair by the alert "A Hidden Lair has appeared" on-screen. It can usually be spotted via its glowing blue entrance. The entrances can still be seen in the zone, even when they aren't accessible.
Completing a Hidden Lair in a full (4-member) party rewards a bonus chest. The chest opens automatically.

Originally a player could obtain a maximum of 6 normal gems from Hidden Lairs per day.[3]
Originally the portal to the second level had a random chance to appear.
Originally the bonus chest for a full party had to be opened manually. In the October 16, 2024 update, this was changed to open automatically.
