"A Putrid Pack of Hell-Raisers has Ravaged Sanctuary—Meet the Hearthrot Demons"

- Group description(src)

The Hearthrot is a group of demons that invaded Sanctuary, some time after the Siege of Stormpoint.

Lore[]

c. 1272, the Hearthrot emerged from different parts of Sanctuary. The earth was rent in large fissures at the points of their emergence.[1] The fissures vented demonic energy which corrupted the surrounding wildlife, and even affected the environment.[2] From there, they moved to different regions, and made lairs in locations that fit their tastes, and from there enacted to make their desires for Sanctuary a reality.[3]

Their actions did not go unnoticed. Rayek had just made an altar that improved the Helliquary's range. The Helliquary picked up a disturbance originating from Saarodan's fissure. After the Shard-seeker investigated the disturbance, they discovered the Hearthrot. The Shard-seeker was sent to seal the demonic energy released by the Hearthrot's emergence. After that, they tracked the demons to their lairs where they were defeated, and their body parts sealed in the Helliquary.[2]

In-game[]

The Hearthrot is the third set of Helliquary bosses in Diablo Immortal. They are unlocked by completing the prologue quest, Hearthrot Helliquary, and unlocking Hell II difficulty.

Trivia[]

  • Unlike the previous Helliquary sets, each Hearthrot demon has 4-5 different demonic remains it can drop, though only a maximum of 2 is dropped upon death.
  • Formerly, the Hearthrot were unlocked at Inferno I difficulty, with two demons released at each Inferno difficulty.[4] As of the Age of Unmaking, that is no longer the case.
