Hack is a legendary axe in Diablo III. It requires character level 31 to drop.
The unique affix on this item may prove useful to Thorns-oriented builds, especially when combined with the Sanguinary Vambraces. In particular, it may be of most use to those with high degrees of attack speed, toughness and healing, as without these values, one may find themselves using this at a disadvantage.
The Thorns damage is simply inflicted to any enemy hit by an attack, as if they hit the character. For damage over time attacks, it only applies once, on first hit.
Ironically, unlike Neanderthal and Nailbiter, it does not have its own Thorns statistic.

This crude, makeshift axe was made from skeletal remains picked out of the Desolate Sands. Despite its primitive origins, the weapon is extremely effective, perhaps as a result of residual magics that seeped into its components since the time of area's devastation during the Mage Clan Wars.
