Guardian's Jeopardy

Guardian's Jeopardy is a crafted item set in Diablo III which grants damage reduction and a large, multiplicative increase to core stats.

This set is named for a sorcerer known as the Guardian, as well as his followers.

The set requires a character level of 70 and can be crafted by the Blacksmith with the Guardian's Jeopardy plan.

The level 55 equivalent of this set is Guardian's Contingency.

Pieces

The set consists of just three pieces, all three of which are required to complete the set.

• Guardian's Aversion (Bracers)
• Guardian's Case (Belt)
• Guardian's Gaze (Helm)

Set Bonuses:

• Your melee damage reduction is increased by 1% per 1000 base Vitality from equipped items. Your missile damage reduction is increased by 1% per 1000 base Strength, Dexterity, or Intelligence from equipped items depending on your class. (2 pieces)
• You gain an additional 100% of your base Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Vitality attributes from equipped items. (3 pieces)

Development

The set bonuses for Guardian's Jeopardy were originally smaller simple increases to stats, including movement speed:

• +250 Vitality and 8000 Life regenerated every second (2 pieces)
• +15% Movement Speed (3 pieces)
  • The movement speed bonus was "capped" together with other item bonuses at a total of 25%. Together with the guaranteed movement bonus on the helm, the set automatically hit the movement speed cap on its own.

Each piece required one Symbol of the Guardian Brotherhood in addition to its current costs. This was removed from the recipes in Patch 2.0.6.

Developers reworked the set with the larger, unique bonuses for Season 27 / Patch 2.7.4 to add another viable crafted 3-piece set, after hearing that other similar sets were significant for players. The former set's focus on movement speed is still noticeable in the guaranteed bonus to movement speed on the helm, which remains in the game.
