Grendan was a member of the Knights Penitent.
In 1336, Grendan was part of an escort that guided two women into Kasama. Upon entry, one of the women revealed herself as Lilith, and she slaughtered the entire escort sans Grendan (who was still severely wounded) and the other woman, Vhenard. Grendan watched Vhenard beg for her life, and Lilith led her further into the city.
Awhile later, Grendan was found by Vigo, Neyrelle, and the Wanderer. He told them what had happened, and begged Vigo to head to Kor Valar to tell the Cathedral of Light what had occurred. Afterwards, he succumbed to his wounds.[1]

Grendan is an NPC in Diablo IV. He is encountered in Kasama during the quest "In Her Wake."
