Glowing Ore was a Legendary Crafting Material in Diablo III. It requires a Character Level of 1 to use, is account bound, and may be stacked up to 1000 times. It was required for the crafting of the Cosmic Strand legendary source. As of patch 2.0.6., it no longer drops, and existing Ores may be sold for 50,000 Gold.
The item only dropped from unique Primordial Scavengers:
- Sartor (Battlefields of Eternity)
- Magrethar (Realm of the Banished)
- Rockulus (Battlefields of Eternity)
- Soul Scavenger (Pandemonium Fortress, Demon Souls Event)
The primordial scavengers create their armor out of anything at hand—most commonly, the rocks of Pandemonium. Any discovery of actual arcane ore is a boon of epic proportions.
