The Wardrobe is a feature of Diablo III and Diablo IV which allows management of many cosmetic items and options.

Patch-220-wardrobe

Wardrobe as seen in-game

The Wardrobe was added to Diablo III in patch 2.2.0, for the PC version only. It appears in both Campaign Mode and Adventure Mode in every town of any act, close to the waypoint and the Mystic.

Clicking on the Wardrobe opens the Diablo Shop, in which the account's Collection of cosmetic options can be browsed and equipped. Any collected item can be equipped to the current character, or unequipped if applicable. The cosmetics are divided into their categories:

  • Wings and their equivalents
  • Portraits
  • Non-combat pets
  • Pennants

All cosmetics unlocked are available to any characters on the account, even shared between game modes like Seasonal or Hardcoreal characters. Only one of each Wardrobe cosmetic can be equipped per character. Once equipped, they will be visible both in game and on the character selection screen, as well as persisting through death and game sessions.

During Seasonal Rebirth, all cosmetics are removed, but can be immediately re-equipped if desired. If no portrait has been selected, Paragon portraits are equipped automatically as new Paragon levels are earned.

The cosmetics can also be accessed via the mirror button in the lower right corner, or with the "Cosmetics" key, bound to F1 by default.

The Wardrobe does not handle Transmogrification, which is done at a different station at the Mystic, nor does it grant customization of the Banner, which is activated by clicking on it.

Diablo IV[]

The Wardrobe returns in Diablo IV. It allows players to mix and match hundreds of armor components unique to their class, alongside custom color palettes to create the class fantasy that best represents one's character.[1]
