Eternal Crown

The Eternal Crown

The Eternal Crown is an artifact created by Daedessa. It is worn by the Immortal.

Lore[]

"The Crown is a locus for the power Daedessa granted us. All Immortals share in its might."

- Mission Advisor(src)

The Crown bestows great power upon the Immortals[1] according to their ranking, with its wielder receiving a greatest share. This power manifests as flowing cloaks of light; the size depending on the rank of the Immortal. The highest lieutenants also have glowing eyes, while the wielder of the Crown manifests a cloak of light, glowing eyes, and an ornate armor.[2] The Immortal and their lieutenants also gain Crown Powers which grants unique, potent abilities, including boosts to Attack Speed, Critical Hit Chance, defense, and healing.[3] The Crown "hungers endlessly" for magic,[4] and is enhanced by the Dominance of the current reign.

History[]

Akeba-crown

Akeba takes the crown

Daedessa entrusted the crown to her son, Kion,[2] who led the Immortals. It was agreed that should the Shadows ever overthrow the Immortals, they would become Immortals themselves, and take possession of the Crown. Which, under Akeba, they did, thus beginning the Cycle of Strife.[5]

In the 11th century, the crown was searched for by Rakkis. However, it eluded him, and the crown was recovered by the Immortals.[6]

In-game[]

Eternal Crown-fight

The game's classes fight over the crown

The Eternal Crown features in Diablo Immortal. It is won by the Shadow player who wins the Final Battle,[7] who becomes the Immortal. A single Immortal leader bears the Eternal Crown, and four lieutenants have crowns of their own. Each crown grants an extraordinary power once it has reached a certain level of progression thanks to the reign's Dominance. A mixture of offensive and defensive buffs will emanate from these Legendary items, amplifying the wearer’s might as well as that of other Immortals in close proximity.[8]
