Equipments (also called Gear) are items that can be worn/equipped on the player character. They include all weapons, armor and accessories. They are a core component of gameplay throughout the franchise, and the main way to raise attributes. Most gear are exclusive to specific classes.

Every equipment is to be worn on a specific part of a player character body. These positions are called equipment slots, and can be viewed in the inventory.

Head[]

This is the armor-type equipment worn over the head. It includes all types of helms.

Torso[]

Main article: Body Armor

At times called the chest slot. It is the armor-type equipment worn over the chest, and includes all forms of body armor (simply called armor in some games).

Shoulders[]

Main article: Pauldrons

It is the armor-type equipment worn on the shoulders. Though counted as a single slot, pauldrons come in pairs.
