Elder Owens was the village elder of a village on Bilefen.

In 1270, the village was tormented by a Maggot Brood, poisoning (and killing) the village's entire populace. Owen managed to survive, thanks to one of the Temple of Namari's beacons, which kept him alive, though still poisoned, and coughing up Corpse Worms, which were eating him from the inside. Only consuming meat dulled the pain. Which, in Owen's case, meant consuming the flesh of his fellow villagers.

Owen was found by a hero/group of heroes, and in his desperation, he attacked them. He was subsequently slain. Cadeus (apparently a friend of his) arrived shortly afterwards, and mourned Owen's death.

In-game

Owen is an NPC and boss in Diablo Immortal. He is encountered in the Abandoned Village during the "Among the Bodies" quest.

In the boss fight, he is immune to knockback. He attacks by melee, and is accompanied by Corpse Worms (which he throws up). His melee attacks and movement speed are slow, but each strike deals massive damage.

• Elder Owen vomits Ravenous Larva during his battle, though they are labeled as Corpse Worms.
