Dravec is a boss in Diablo Immortal.
Biography[]
Dravec was an acolyte of the Sanctified Earth Monastery with Oza. In 1265, he lost his younger brother at the fall of Arreat and became obsessed with finding a way to resurrect him. Sometime later, he made a pact with a Skarn (who was in the guise as a God of Retribution). His master warned him against using the power of a Chaos God.
In 1270 with the emergence of the Worldstone shardss, Skarn promised Dravec to reunite him with his brother if he could bring a Worldstone shard to him. Dravec raided the Sanctified Earth Monastery in search of the Worldstone shard that was stored there, but couldn't find it, even after forcefully interrogating his master. In a fit of rage, he killed Vitalya.[2]
Dravec was exiled from the Veradani for that crime, and the Patriarchs sent monks to hunt him down. Dravec fled Zavain for a time, but later returned, now allied with the Cult of Damnation. The cult made a base in the abandoned Zakarum chapel within the Misty Valley; as its residual Light kept nightmares away. Meanwhile, Dravec laired in a cave within the Misty Valley. During this period, he learnt a lot of infernal lore and profane texts.[3]
At the end it was all a trick. Instead of resurrecting Tayev, Skarn fused the brothers' souls together, creating a new demon.[4]
Legacy[]
- Dravec's use of Skarn's power brought corruption to the Sanctified Earth Monastery. This corruption attracted demons and corrupted the monks there[5]
- This corruption awakened an old taint that laid dormant on Mount Zavain and caused it to begin to spread[6].
In-game[]
Dravec is the major antagonist for the storyline quests of Mount Zavain and Frozen Tundra. He is fought as a boss via the Twin Souls monster, though is not a boss himself.
