Diamond in the Rough is the sixth quest of Westmarch in Diablo Immortal. It follows on directly from Bounties Abroad, and leads back into said quest once completed.
Objectives[]
- Follow Charsi to Rakkis Square.
(Socketing a legendary gem is no simple matter. Thankfully, Charsi knows an expert at the Glittering Gems and Jewelery in Rakkis Plaza) - Defeat the Brigands (0/5).
(You and Charsi have encountered a group of brigands attempting to rob Vic, the local jeweler! Stop them, quickly!) - Help Vic (0/1).
(The bandits have been defeated, but Vic is in rough shape. He won't make it to the jeweler's shop without some assistance.) - Talk to Vic.
(The bandits have been defeated, but Vic is in rough shape. He won't make it to the jeweler's shop without some assistance.) - Reach Seril, the Apprentice Jeweler.(1)
(Thankfully, Vic seems no worse for wear. Bring his shipment to his apprentice, Seril, while Charsi and the jeweler make their way behind you.) - Talk to Vic.
(Hobbling through the door, Vic has returned to the safety of his shop. Perhaps now would be a good time to find out more about the Legendary Gems?)
Transcript[]
- As Charsi and the player approach Rakkis Square
- Vic: (from a distance) Help! Thieves!
Vic is being accosted by brigands
- Brigand: Kill those two before anyone else shows up!
- Charsi: Get away from him! (attacks the brigands)
- After defeating the brigands
Help Vic up
- Class: Are you all right? Can you walk?
- Vic: Yes, I think I'm fine...thanks to the both of you. I may need some help getting back to my shop, however.
- Charsi: We've got you. Vic's shop isn't too far from here.
- Vic: Akarat bless the both of you. Adventurer, I don't think it's a good idea for me to carry these gems any longer. Please, take them to my workshop, and let my apprentice know we'll be there soon. (gives the player the shipment)
Meet Vic's apprentice in his workshop
- Seril: Master Vic? Is he all right? Usually his cart has arrived by now...
- Class: He was attacked, but he's going to be fine. Charsi is bringing him here now. He asked me to guard these gems until he arrived.
- Seril: Oh the shipment's safe! Thank the High Heavens! We would have been in a lot of trouble if that hadn't arrived. You're a real lifesaver, friend.
Charsi brings Vic into the shop
- Vic: I will tell you all...I have never been gladder to be home. Thank you, Charsi, and you, my new friend. (staggers behind the counter)
Talk to Vic
- Vic: The both of you are welcome in this shop any time!
Ah, I see you met with my apprentice, Seril. Good! If you ever need to socket gems or craft more powerful varieties, come here and she can help you out. For a small fee, of course. We're not a charity. Ha ha.
- Charsi: Well, it's time we got going. Stay safe. Okay, Vic? And...maybe don't carry so many gems on you next time!

Original Transcript[]
The following lines were cut from the original version:
- Charsi: All done? Great! Let's head back to Rakkis Square. That's where all of the vendors and merchants are. You can find nearly everything in the world if you look hard enough.
- Charsi: The Westmarch guard is out in full force. Still, I suppose it makes sense...
- Charsi: Ashwold and Wortham have both fallen on hard times. I bet they're afraid something bad might happen here.
- Charsi: Vic! He's in trouble! Get away from him!
- Vic: Here, this gem is for you. Considering you're the reason they're even here, it's the least I could do.
- Vic: Gems, like that one you hold, can be socketed into equipment to improve it. My apprentice handles the usual fare, but if you find one of the gems of legend, well...that's more my specialty.
