Devious Magic is the fourth Mount Zavain core quest in Diablo Immortal. It follows from Free the Captives, after talking to Lieutenant Ralvar, when the Razed Village has been cleared of khazra. It is succeeded by Into the Khazra's Den.

- Return to Captain Vereks in Sentinel's Watch.
(The ritual has been destroyed, but there is something odd afoot. You were able to find a bloody symbol upon the ground, not unlike those you witnessed in Wortham.[1])
Transcript[]
- Captain Vereks: You've returned. Krynn reported as well. The others?
- Class: Vaughn and Weir fell. The others were taken. It seems the khazra were sacrificing villagers to create a summoning ritual in the village.[2] It's a kind of magic I've only seen wielded by cultists.
- Captain Vereks: A summoning? So that is the reason behind the Khazra's seemingly endless onslaught. They can only have come from the den to the north.
Our monk friend has been battling against their main forces nearly non-stop since you left.[3] Meet up with her and press the assault or, the khazra will simply try again... and the next attack... we may not endure.
