Demon Machine is a unique Chu-Ko-Nu from Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.
The Demon Machine is one of the only two missile weapons in the game that features inherent piercing and fires explosive projectile at the same time, allowing the character to invoke multiple explosions with their normal attacks. External fire damage from equipment, Enchant, and Holy Fire will be added to the explosion, so characters who can obtain a large number of fire damage bonuses in such methods will find this weapon one of the best methods to make use of them. The Demon Machine Sorceress uses this weapon to great effect.
Compared to the Kuko Shakaku, this weapon has a faster base speed, better physical damage, a better piercing rate, an attack rating bonus that helps the bolt hit (which is required for piercing), and thus is generally considered more effective for this purpose. However, with enough increased attack speed, it's possible for the Kuko Shakaku to outgun this crossbow.
