Defiance is a Paladin Skill in Diablo II.

Lore[]

Shielding himself and nearby companions within a glow of holy light, the Paladin guards himself to face the unjust in combat. By standing resolute and earnest in the face of opposition, his faith is his shield against harm.

General Information[]

Defiance is a popular Aura choice, due to its synergy to Holy Shield. Act II mercenaries on Normal and Hell mode may possess this skill, giving other character classes access to this defensive aura.

It has no hidden bonuses, only a plain bonus to Defense, stacking to other similar effects. When inactive, it provides no benefit (aside from synergy).

The Rune word Exile grants its user a permanent level 13-16 Defiance aura as long as it is equipped.
