Decrepify combines the effects of Amplify Damage and Weaken, and also slows opponents as though they were chilled. Damage, speed, and physical resistance are all reduced by 50%.

Decrepify can therefore decrease the damage output of enemies by slowing their attack (although it does not slow the actual speed of their projectiles). Its effects, however, are independent of cold damage and Slows Target equipment; any combination of the three can stack and slow enemies to a very slow crawl. Amplify Damage is still better for damage-dealing purposes as its reduction to enemy physical resist is higher.

The Reaper's Toll and Lawbringer have a high chance of casting this spell on striking. The Executioner's Justice causes Decrepify to be cast whenever it is used to kill a target.

Diablo III

Necromancers in Diablo III use the spell named Decrepify of similar functionality.

Decrepify also somewhat returns reworked to Curse of Mud. The curse is used only by an Enslaved Nightmare, but it inflicts a high movement speed debuff on the victim.
