Amazons derive another benefit while learning to fight in the rainforests of their homeland. They learn, through misdirection and deception, to fool attacking forces into thinking there is another Amazon nearby. This subterfuge causes enemies to waste time and energy hunting down false prey while the Amazon moves in for the kill.
When cast, this spell causes a decoy to appear where the mouse pointer was when the spell was cast. The Decoy looks exactly like the caster, but it does not move. The decoy may not attack, and its only purpose is to take hits intended for the Amazon. Decoys have the same health as the Amazon who creates them, and disappear when their life depletes. Only one decoy may be summoned at an moment, but it can be summoned together with one Valkyrie.
Enemies usually attack their closest target, and still attack the Amazon if she's closer to them than the decoy. Some unique monsters are not fooled by decoys. This skill is useful for avoiding damage, misdirecting and herding enemies, or as a "scout" to aggravate enemies in unknown territories. It is cheap in terms of mana cost, and making good use of it can often mean the difference between life and death.
Strafe fires more Arrows if a Decoy is summoned, which is another good reason to use Decoy. Decoys may not work well in player vs. player battles, though it may still fool those who are unfamiliar with the game.
