Death's Fathom is a unique Dimensional Shard, an item exclusive to the Sorceress.
Although The Oculus has higher resistances and magic find than Death's Fathom, Death's Fathom is popular among Sorceresses that specialize in Cold Spells due to its boost to Cold Skill damage.
Unlike Eschuta's Temper, the boost to Cold Skill damage is a true 15-30% increase to overall cold damage since Cold Mastery does not boost damage, but rather negates enemies' resistances. It is the only Sorceress weapon to do so; therefore, Death's Fathom is easily the best weapon for a Cold Sorceress.
