- The Shard-seeker looking at the cult's sigil(src)
The Cult of Damnation[1] is a cult that worships the demon Skarn.
History[]

A new initiate joins the Cult of Damnation
The cult was formed by Skarn, who formed it in the aftermath of the destruction of the Worldstone. In just a few years, Skarn gained a massive cult of followers, who tempted and decieved to swell their ranks among the Western Kingdoms.[2]
In 1270, the cult attacked the village of Wortham, abducting a number of its townsfolk for sacrifice. Furthermore, having obtained a Worldstone shard, they attempted to summon Skarn into Sanctuary. However, their efforts were thwarted by the Shard-seeker.[3]
This wasn't the last of the cult however, as round about the same time, more of their members were searching the Dark Wood for the Worldstone shard that had impacted the woods. They came into conflict with the Bloodsworn, whose leader owned the shard. Lakrii refused Skarn's ultimatum to turn over the shard to the cult, which resulted in the two cult groups battling each other in the forest.[1]
Later, the Cult gathered at Mount Zavain. This caught the attention of Westmarch, which offered bounties to adventurers to deal with them.[4]
