Biography

Cudworth is a scholar. He had an apprentice named Merraid. Around Timeline they travelled to Bilefen to study the ruins around the Temple of Namari. Since they arrived, Merraid complained about nightmares, but he didn't think it was anything serious. At a point when they were studying the ruins of the antechamber of the temple, Merraid knocked him out and tied him, before leaving him in a corner.

Cudworth and the adventurer

He was later released by an adventurer. After narrating his tale the adventurer said that they were helping Merraid to reinforce the wards with the Greatswords of Temple Guardians. Cudworth told the adventurer to hurry back ahead of him to Merraid, as the swords are actually keys that can be used to reinforce or weaken the wards. Cudworth arrived just in time to see Merraid commit suicide.
