A Cryptic Sword is a type of sword in Diablo II, it is the elite version of the Long Sword.
It has the lowest minimum damage and paradoxically the highest maximum damage of all the one handed swords in the game.
Ethereal Cryptic Swords are a popular choice for the Oath Runeword.
