- Monster summary(src)
Corrupt Rogues are monsters found in Diablo II. They were once part of the Sisterhood of the Sightless Eye, but were corrupted and turned into demon warriors by demon queen Andariel. They still wield the same weapons they did before being corrupted though, and attack blindly with rage with their swords and shields. Upon killing them, their spirits are freed and rise upwards as they disappear.
In-game[]
Corrupt Rogues come in five variants: Dark Hunter, Vile Hunter, Dark Stalker, Black Rogue and Flesh Hunter. These monsters have only one attack and do not have any added elemental damage. On Hell difficulty, they are immune to Cold.

Super Uniques[]
- The Countess -- Super Unique Dark Stalker, which is found in the Forgotten Tower level 5, and is Fire Enchanted.
- Battlemaid Sarina -- Super Unique Flesh Hunter, which is found in the Ruined Temple, and is Extra Fast, and has a Spectral Hit.
Development[]
There are unused graphics for the basic melee Corrupt Rogues, with a very bird-like head. Unfortunately, they cannot be used in the game because when the monster attacks, they change to Blood Raven-graphics. They would have most likely been used for Battlemaid Sarina. Furthermore, they have an unused base color palette where they look more human-like.
The monster planning sheet of Act I shows that there were Undead Rogues planned for said act, and they were involved in a specific Quest as well.
Trivia[]
- The Corrupt Rogues were perhaps the only monsters of Diablo II which were componentized as fully as the game's classes. They can technically wield any weapon within the game. This is because they were used as a "testbed" for the programming that would be used to allow customization of the game's classes.[1]
