"I am so weary. Why did you have to die, brother? I was never meant to be king."
- Justinian IV(src)
Cornelius the Younger was one of the three sons of King Cornelius of Westmarch.
Cornelius the Elder's first son died as a youth, leaving Cornelius the Younger as his expected heir. However, Cornelius perished in 1265 from a spider bite while out in the country. Later that year, his father succumbed to illness, leaving Justinian IV as their father's heir.[1] Years later, Justinian lamented his brother's death, believing that he was never meant to be king.[2]
