Claeys (formerly known as Eudoxie) is a crusader, vowed to purging Stormpoint of evil.
Biography[]

Eudoxie trained for years under Claeys to learn the ways of a crusader. At a point, Claeys told that his inner Light was leading him to serve at Stormpoint's prison. However, she didn't agree with his decision, saying that serving at a prison would not contribute in cleansing the reputation of their faith. After a short disagreement, he left for Stormpoint and told her not to follow. Some time later, she heard news that Claeys had died.[1]
As per the traditions of the crusaders, she was to take up her master's armor, his name and mission. She was still hesitant about that as Claeys' mission would see her stay in Stormpoint. Instead, she decided to seek counsel with the Light at the site of Claeys' death.[1]
On her way, she met an adventurer who she requested for them to accompany her. After she performed a rite at Claeys' gravesite, an echo of the crusader was summoned.[1]
Final Test[]
"In dire places, in dire times, we do the most good. Never once did I vent my wrath upon the imprisoned, deny them food or water, or call the condemned to the gallows."

The echo gave Eudoxie a chance for them to settle their dispute. After voicing her grievances, the echo justified himself, saying that he went to such dire place because it would give him the opportunity to do the most good, and that he treated the prisoners fairly, and made sure the other guards did the same. He then told Eudoxie to retrieve his shield from nearby. After Eudoxie retrieved the shield, (which had to be cleansed of the darkness that had infested it), her mentor's echo gave her a final test — to defeat him; because having faith demanded that she believed in herself, not others. After a long battle, Eudoxie was victorious.[1]
With her trial complete, Claeys bestowed his armaments, his name, and his mission to purge Stormpoint of evil to his student. The newly christened Claeys took up her duty.[1]
In-game[]
Claeys is an NPC in Diablo Immortal. She gives the side quest Vowed to the Light. When in combat, she uses Punish, Shield Glare and Conjuration of Light.
Trivia[]
- The transcript of the side quest implies that Claeys completed most of her trial by herself with minor input from the adventurer, and that she fought her mentor alone.
- If left to fight the echo alone, one can observe that Claeys was weaker than her mentor. His shield glare stuns her, while it is not so for hers.
