- For the Diablo II set item, see Civerb's Cudgel.
Civerb's Cudgel is a Unique Mace found in Diablo I. Even though it doesn't look like a very good item, mainly because of its drawbacks and also its low base damage, it still has a major advantage nonetheless: the +% Damage vs Demons applies to the total damage of the character(s), not just to the weapon's damage, effectively tripling the damage they deal to Demons in melee. Furthermore, Civerb's Cudgel is useful to Sorcerers against monsters on Hell difficulty which are immune to their spells, and also since most of the monsters encountered in the Hell levels are going to be Demons anyway. However it should be noted that Sorcerers are highly adviced to go with a more viable weapon choice, due to their insuffient Chance To Hit, a much needed bonus that Civerb's Cudgel lacks, and slow Attack Speed, which is another important modifier needed on weapons, in order to reach higher breakpoints.
