Chizu was a town in Xiansai.
During the late 10th/early 11th centuries, the town was occupied by bandits. They reguarly attacked their neighbors and committed robberies with mass conflagrations. An armed company approached the town with an ultimatum: everyone of fighting age was to be conscripted, or the town would be sacked. In response, the bandits began raining down fire pots on the soldiers, killing many of them.[1]
