Jaysen was a captain of the Ashwold Guard, and long-serving member. Apparently a follower of Zakarum, he carried an amulet with him.

In 1270, the dead rose en masse in Ashwold Cemetery, and while Jaysen survived, those under his command did not. Apparently driven mad by the ordeal, he rationalized that his faith had protected him, while the "faithless" had perished. However, he lost his amulet and tried in vain to find it. It was in such a state that he was found by a hero/group of heroes, who suggested that he head back to Guard's Watch, but he refused, seeing them as "faithless" as well, and fated to join the ranks of the dead.

Jaysen appears as an NPC in Diablo Immortal. He is found due west of Queen Asylla's Tomb.
