The Cairn Stones are a mysterious circle of stones located in Stony Field in Diablo II.
Five standing stones make up the circle, each marked with a glyph that must be touched in a particular order to activate the stone. A sixth stone sits apart from the rest, unmarked. A Super Unique Carver named Rakanishu also guards these stones.
The player will be required to visit these stones during the Search for Cain quest. The circle of stones must be touched in a specific order, which will activate them, opening a portal to Tristram. There, the player must find and rescue Deckard Cain from the hordes of demons that remained in the town.
