The Bovine Plate armor is an Easter Egg from the Diablo: Hellfire expansion that can only be obtained as the quest reward from the hidden Complete Nut quest. It must be enabled with the command.txt exploit. It was nerfed in the 1.01 patch, leading to some confusion over its stats.
It is a unique item and has the strongest armor and resist stats of all the items in the game, in addition to being indestructible.

Trivia[]
- Although the Bovine Plate itself did not make an appearance in Diablo II with the advent of the Secret Cow Level, a set called The Cow King's Leathers did; its body armor, Cow King's Hide, may be a reference to the Bovine Plate.
