Bone Spirit is a spell in Diablo I.
General Information[]
This spell releases a ghost that seeks targets of its own (cannot be forced to attack a specific target). Regardless of Spell Level and other stats, it will always deal damage equal to 1/3 of the target's current Life (not maximum Life) in Magic damage. Against players, it is half as effective.
The spell costs 6 Life as well as Mana (even if cast from a staff), but the expended Life is recovered if the spell strikes successfully. With Mana Shield, this cost is drained from Mana.
The ghost moves relatively slowly, but can turn around corners. The damage is reduced by resistance, if any. Also it can be blocked.
Due to the way it works, it is best used against very tough foes in the beginning of battle, and is nearly useless against weaker enemies or monsters near death.

- Against players: 1/6 of target's Life
