Black Asylum is a Fractured Peaks dungeon in Diablo IV. It is found in the Frigid Expanse.

"What can you tell me of the Black Asylum?"
"When they found out what he did, they put him in irons and carried him off to the Black Asylum. Years later, the asylum was abandoned. The lucky ones are said to have starved, while the rest escaped their cells only to fight each other. It was a cruel death, it's no wonder some refused to pass on."

The Black Asylum operated during the Great Enmity, but was shut down, abandoned, and apparently sealed. The inmates were left inside—some starved, the rest escaped from their cells, only to fight one another. Such was the cruelty of their deaths, some refused to pass on, remaining as undead.[1] Their wails could be heard from outside the asylum's walls.[2]

In 1336, the asylum was entered by the Wanderer at the request of Vendral Trost. They made their way through the asylum and put the spirit of his son to rest.[1]
