One of the first demons invited into Skarn's Realm of Damnation, the Baron of Pestilence is noteworthy for unwavering obedience to any lord of Hell, so long as it can spend its existence engaged in the uninterrupted propagation and suppuration of cysts.[1]
Lore[]
The Baron of Pestilence and his hostage; Verathiel
The Baron of Pestilence was in charge of watching over the Verathiel. He tortured her and extracted her Light. In 1270, the Shard-seeker encountered and killed him.[2]
In-game Appearance[]
The Baron is a green skinned, tumor riddled demon. The tumors on his back are large and pulsating, and his horns look like cancerous growths.
He is the final boss of the Diablo Immortal main quest "Light Imprisoned."
His appearance in the game
He is encountered in a plagued The Last Vestige, watching over a cocoon containing Verathiel. His attacks are slow and based on poison.
- Swipe: A simple claw swipe that deals moderate damage.
- Leap: The Baron jumps high and then slams his fists to the ground, causing damage and loss of control. A warning circle in red appears where he will land.
- Outburst: The Baron expels poison from his tumors in an AoE of poison around himself.
- Defile: The Baron slams his smaller hand into the ground, causing poison to erupt beneath the player.
- Blight: At every 50% life lost (a single health bar) the Baron slams his engorged hand into the ground, forming blight tumors around the arena. These tumors create an AoE of poison around themselves whenever the player is near them.
Quotes[]
