Azurewrath is a unique Phase Blade from Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.
Perhaps an improved version of its sister Phase Blade, Lightsabre, Azurewrath has properties along similar lines.
Boasting both an extremely high added Cold damage and also an added magic damage, Azurewrath can do tons of damage even if an enemy is immune to cold.
Azurewrath also gives its wielder a Sanctuary aura. This makes it particularly effective against Undead enemies. Like most aura gear, Azurewrath is ladder only.
Lore
Azurewrath is a sword that was created by the Archangel Tyrael. It was wielded by Izual, a lieutenant of Tyrael during an ill-fated assault on the Hellforge to delay the forging of the demonblade Shadowfang.

In Patch 1.09 there was another unique called Azurewrath. It was a unique Crystal Sword, with the following stats:

Adds 5-10 Magic Damage
Adds 3-6 Cold Damage
50% Deadly Strike
10% Better Chance of Finding Magic Items
The reasons for the removal of the sword are unknown, but information about it can still be found in the game files.
