At Its Core

At Its Core (formerly named Central Core) is the fifth Library of Zoltun Kulle quest in Diablo Immortal. It leads on directly from Lost Runes, and leads directly into Source of Knowledge.

Description[]

The Library draws its power from a central core. In order to reach the forbidden archives, its power will need to be restored.

As the Curator's magics begin to take hold, the Library's automated defenses are attacking the two of you as intruders. Destroy them so the Curator can return to his work.

Despite the Curator's best efforts, the core refuses to respond. There must be something that eludes his understanding.

Script[]

The Curator: The master created me to ensure his library's continuance. It is a dull but vital task.

The Curator: Ah, I can open this gate for you.

The Curator: The Central Core serves as the heart of the library and maintains its defenses. Don't break anything...unless I tell you to.

The Curator: Just as I thought; the core is dormant. Hold while I reawaken it.

The Curator: It didn't work? I hate it when things don't obey my command.

The Curator: Ah, yes. Of course that would happen. Remember what I said about not breaking things? Those you may break. Immediately.

Golem: Destroy. Intruders.

Class: Has it been damaged?

The Curator: No. Something is escaping us. The core powers all of the mechanisms within the library. If activated, it could remove the barriers between us and the secret archive. But it refuses to heed my command.

The Curator: Our only course is to obtain the master's journal. It details the inner workings of the library. But that knowledge has been kept secret from me.

The Curator: It rests within the Well of Knowledge to the west. Beyond the magical barriers that restrict my movement and some of the master's more...unfortunate experiments. If we are to proceed, you must obtain it.
