The Astral Anchor
The Astral Anchor is a device created by Karshun.

The Anchor's purpose is to help with astral projection by creating a link between the soul and the body through the Astral Realm. This makes the projection more stable (the whole body is projected and the projection is mobile) and last longer. Because of this, the backlash from a disrupted projection is reduced.
However, the connection degrades over time and it is dangerous to stay in the Astral Realm for too long.[1]

In order to scry the activities of the Cult of Terror, Karshun used the astral projection to project the souls of the Shard-seeker and himself into the Astral Realm.[1]
