Aspects are a type of item found in Diablo IV.
Aspects are Legendary-style passives that are used to augment items. Most are class-specific and tied to skills and playstyles, and some are defensive. Unlocking each one adds it to the player's Codex of Power.[1] Each aspect is unique to the dungeon it is found in.[2] To apply the aspect, the player must see an occultist.[3]
The aspect system gives players some guidance as to where they are. For instance, before being unlocked, a listed aspect's zone is specified (Kehjistan, Fractured Peaks, etc.), but not the specific dungeon in said zone.[3]
As of Season 4, aspects acquired in the Seasonal Realm can be applied in the Eternal Realm as well. If a player already has the same aspect learned in the Eternal Realm, the Codex of Power will keep the higher value of the two.
