Ashnagarr's Blood Bracer is a pair of Legendary bracers in Diablo III, added in patch 2.4 (replacing Steady Strikers). They require character level 8 to drop.
The unique affix only works for Wizards, and affects all of their skills/skill runes that absorb damage with force shields (bubbles):
- Diamond Skin (even though graphically it is not animated as a bubble)
- Deflection
- Dominance
- Galvanizing Ward
- Barrier Blades
Duration of the shields, however, does not change, only the amount of damage they absorb. Potency of Molten Wildebeest's Gizzard is also unaffected, as this is not a Wizard skill-generated shield.
Stats (Level 8)
Ashnagarr's Blood Bracer

- Critical Hit Chance Increased by 1.0–2.0%
- One of 3 Magic Properties (varies):

- +18–23 Intelligence
- Increases the potency of absorption shields by 75–100%.
- +3 Random Magic Properties
“Demon blood is a very important tool in the wizard’s arsenal. I infused this bracer with it, as a matter of fact. The extraction method was agonizing, to be sure, just thinking about it brings a smile to my face.” — Ashnagarr, First Wizard of the Accursed Multitude
Development
Originally, this item was designed as a ring, but as rings are usually taken for offensive attributes, the special affix was moved to bracers. The ring in question became the Halo of Karini later.
