This article is about the location in Diablo III. For other uses, see Arreat.

The Arreat Crater
The Arreat Crater is all that remains of Mount Arreat after the destruction of the Worldstone.
It was here that Azmodan and his armies made their way into Sanctuary, laying siege to Bastion's Keep. However, the demons were driven back to the crater, as the Nephalem entered Azmodan's fortifications, and slew the Lord of Sin himself.[1]
In-game

The crater appears in Act III of Diablo III. It is split into multiple zones:
- Arreat Crater Level 1
- Tower of the Damned (Levels 1 & 2)
- Heart of the Damned
- Arreat Crater Level 2
- Tower of the Cursed (Levels 1 & 2)
- Heart of the Cursed
- The Core of Arreat
- Heart of Sin
Development
Edit

Arreat Crater concept
Concepts existed for the crater as early as 2010.[2] From a development perspective, the crater was "100% organic," with elements such as skin and bone. The overall theme was demonic.[3]
