Ancient Artifact is an item in Diablo Immortal.
It can be obtained from Helliquary raids, Codex daily rewards for 120 Battle Points and for completing 3 Dungeons. It can be used to craft Ancient Legendary Items.
There are different tiers corresponding to difficulties. The first one is unlocked at the first "in season" difficulty.
The difficulty tier of Ancient Artifacts obtained is the minimum of the player's highest unlocked difficulty and the difficulty corresponding to their Paragon level. When defeating Helliquary bosses, the difficulty of the boss doesn't matter (as long as it is in season).
Ancient Artifacts can be exchanged for Ancient Scrap at the Smithing Materials Vendor.
History[]
Ancient Scrap, and therefore the ability to exchange Ancient Artifacts for it, was introduced in the September 10, 2025 update. Previously, lower-tier Ancient Artifacts would sit uselessly in the player's inventory.
Upon the release of Ancient Legendary Items, the "in season" difficulties were Inferno VI, VII and IX. In the December 17, 2025 update, they were shifted to Inferno X, XI and XII. Out-of-season Ancient Artifacts don't drop and can no longer be used for crafting, but they can be exchanged for Ancient Scraps.
