Ancestral Tableau is a gameplay feature in Diablo Immortal. It is part of the Seeker's Path interface.

The Tableau provides bonuses to Strength, Intelligence, Willpower, Vitality, Fortitude and Combat Rating. The attributes are increased by earning Activity Points from Defense of Cyrangar, Purge the Depths, Helliquary raids, Bounties, Dungeons and Elder Rifts. The points earned are increased when doing these with Warbands, Friends or Clans. The amount of points gained depends on the difference between the current Seeker Rating and the Server Seeker Rating, which increases by 10 per week. Players below the server rating get a boosted increase, while players above it are penalized.

Every 300 activity points are automatically converted into 5 Seeker Rating and 1 in each of the 5 stats.

History[]

Originally, the Tableau was part of the Warband interface, and provided a direct Combat Rating bonus plus the stat bonuses when upgraded.

Originally, Combat Rating of items was coupled with their stats. In the June 15, 2023 update, the coupling was broken and correspondingly a new Combat Rating stat was added to the Ancestral Tableau, with the Combat Rating of the 4 best items in the Tableau acting as the cap.

In the September 21, 2023 update, a catch-up mechanism was added that provides extra Combat Rating and stat increase per upgrade for players below a certain level, while players above that level get a penalty. The global level increases every week similarly to the Server Paragon level.

Ancestral Weapons needed to be placed in the Tableau, and their attributes served as a cap for the bonuses from the Tableau. This was removed in the Nightmare Manifest update, after which the Tableau simply provided bonuses based on its upgrade level.

Getting the bonuses required joining a warband, and even though the upgrades stayed when changing warbands, a player who quit their warband would temporarily lose the bonus, and had to join a new warband and earn 400 warband activity points to reactivate the bonus. In the December 13, 2024 update, it was moved to the newly introduced Seeker's Path, and the warband-related aspects were dropped. "Warband Activity Points" were renamed to "Activity Points".

Originally, Activity Points had a weekly cap of 1500, with the first 1000 points obtained at a 4x rate. Each upgrade of the Tableau cost 300 points (with the first few upgrades costing less), but the stats and Combat Rating gained was decreased depending on the player's tableau level compared to the server's level. In the December 13, 2024 update, the weekly cap was removed, each upgrade was fixed to provide 1 point in the five stats and 5 Seeker Rating, and instead the reduction was applied to the activity points themselves.
