"Not sure. But I've heard crazy rumors. Daft old monk, if the unlucky bastard still lives. Probably as cold in there as it is out here. It'll be ornate, that's for sure. Only the best for the one at the top."
- The Wanderer and Vigo(src)

Alabaster Monastery
Alabaster Monastery is a Cathedral of Light structure located on Alabaster Peak.
Lore[]

Alabaster Monastery
Alabaster's interior is ornate. It contains statues depicting Inarius and paintings depicting key moments in the history of Sanctuary and the Cathedral of Light. Brother Orlin served as its custodian. Its interior is frigid, and is divided between the Halls of Ascension (forming the bulk of the monastery) and Father's Radiance (Inarius's quarters).[1]
History[]
Inarius sequestered himself in Alabaster after he killed Rathma. Years passed, with Inarius supposedly in meditation. Rumors spread about the monastery,[1] and for a pilgrim to reach Inarius, they had to survive a pilgrimage across the Fields of Judgment. Even for those who made it to Alabaster, not all of them returned.[2]
In 1336, the Wanderer entered the monastery, seeking a blessing from Inarius in order to continue their pursuit of Lilith. The angel refused their request.[1]
In-game[]
Alabaster Monastery is located on Alabaster Peak. Functionally, it exists as a dungeon, though exists only for story purposes. The player cannot re-enter the monastery once they exit it.

- Father of Mankind: Our Father points the way to the Light, but the Order of the Knights Penitent was founded to carve out our path to it.
- Head of the Faith: The falling sickness claimed her childhood, but the Father gave her new life. The Reverend Mother Prava is but one of his many blessings.
- Inarius the Creator: Our Father Inarius laid down this ground, opened up the sky, and created this Sanctuary from the bounty of the worldstone.
- Inarius the Hopebringer: Cast down from the Heavens, but prophesied to return. Our Father Inarius will ascend to the Heavens and on his wings we will be redeemed.
